Yes, I use a mobile phone everyday – on a daily basis because it is very convenient. For example, I can use it to text to my close ones like my mom or my sister. Moreover, it is very essential for everyday activities. Like I will always need to use my phone to transfer money or to scroll Tik Tok.
2. What do you usually use your phone for?
Well, just like I have mentioned before, I often use my phone for some purposes like transferring money or scrolling Tik Tok. Not only that, I also use it for studying. For example, I often use my phone to look up documents or to solve homeworks.
3. Why do you like using your mobile phone?
It is believed that a phone can be a double-edged sword. Sometimes I can use it for too long, like spending hours surfing the net or playing games. However, it is a must for busy people like me, I can use my phone to make a schedule or to solve all of my questions through some apps like ChatGPT or Gemini. I think a phone is like a silent secretary.
PART 2 – Solution Discussion: Gift for Passing University Entrance Exam
Situation:
You have just passed the university entrance exam. Your parents want to give you a gift. You can choose one of these three things: A mobile phone, A laptop, A motorbike. Which one would you choose? Why?

My situation is that I have just passed the university entrance exam and my parents want to give me a gift. Among three given options, a mobile phone, a laptop and a motorbike. I think I would choose a motorbike because of the following reasons.
First of all, a motorbike is very convenient. For example, I can use my motorbike to go to school everyday without having to wait for others. More than that, I can easily put it in my house.
Secondly, a motorbike is money-saving. For instance, since my house is only about 5 km from school, I think my motorbike only needs to be filled once a week.
Finally, a motorbike is very diverse in options. I can choose from many models like Vision, Wave, SH or Airblade to buy. Besides, I can flexibly choose my favourite colors.
A laptop may have some benefits like it is very important and useful for my study. However, I don’t think it is the best choice because I don’t really need it at the moment. I think after a few months of going to work, I will buy a Macbook by myself later.
For a phone, I don’t like this option because it is not necessary. I already have an iPhone and it works like a champ (= works very well).
PART 3 – Topic: The Negative Effects of Using AI

First, laziness because we can use AI too much for daily tasks. For example, we can have it solve all of our problems, even the easy ones like solving homework or to search information ourselves. Consequently, we may gradually become slower and lazier.
Second, dependence on technology because just like I have mentioned before, we may overuse AI and result in not being able to do anything without its support. For example, a doctor who frequently uses AI to answer questions instead of studying and remembering may lead to severe outcomes like affecting patients or worse.
Finally, loss of jobs because AI is very automatic and universal. It can solve lots of problems without having to rest or require a salary. Many people have lost their jobs due to this reason.
However, from my opinion, I think AI is just like a double-edged sword. If people have the right approaches and know how to utilize this very invention, it can be a very good tool to support them in everyday life or even professional tasks.
To sum up, it is clear that AI can have some negative effects like laziness, dependence on technology and loss of jobs. But it can also be a good tool to support everyone if they know how to utilize it.

2. How can people use AI responsibly?
→ People need to know that AI is only a tool to support, not to fully replace humans. We need to check the information by ourselves or through reliable sources before applying it.
3. Should students be allowed to use AI for their schoolwork? Why?
→ I think this is a very difficult question. On the one hand, it is clear that this invention can do wonders for students’ studying like revising the lessons or personalizing the learning progress. However, on the other hand, since most students are very young and may lack self-control or discipline, children or teenagers can easily be distracted, resulting in lowering their academic performance.
