I. Dấu hiệu nhận biết và mẹo viết thư:

– Đề bài sẽ gồm 2 phần:

1. Yêu cầu chung:

– Là mục đích của lá thư – mình viết lá thư để làm gì?

-> Đây là phần đầu tiên cần nắm được để điền vào form.

-> Là phần mở đầu của lá thư

Sẽ thường đi với từ “to” hoặc từ “for”

VD1:

Write a letter to the customer to respond to the complaint. In your letter:

-> I am writing this letter to respond to the complaint.

VD2:

This is part of an email you received from your English–speaking friend, Anna. She asked you for some information for her next trip to your hometown.

-> I am writing this email to give you some information about your next trip to my hometown.

Hoặc I am writing this email to respond to you/ to answer your questions

(Cái này thì dùng được với rất nhiều đề bài mà chưa cần phải dịch).

-> Cần dựa vào “yêu cầu chung” để biết dạng thư

-> điền gì vào phần to V/ regarding + V_ing ở form

– Nếu không tìm được từ “to” hoặc “for” hoặc khó dịch đề bài

-> Hãy lấy yêu cầu chi tiết/ gạch đầu dòng 1 trong yêu cầu chi tiết.

2. Yêu cầu chi tiết:

– Là phần thân thư, là phần yêu cầu mà mình cần trả lời được.

Thường sẽ là

+ 3 gạch đầu dòng.

+ 3 câu hỏi được trích từ lá thư.

VD1:

Write a letter to the hotel staff. In your letter:

– Describe your experience at the hotel

– Suggest what the hotel could do to improve the service in the future

– Say whether you would like the hotel to add any additional services
